Studio Calico Subscription

I’ve been seeing Studio Calico kits on YouTube for quite some time now and I love the style of them. I decided to bite the bullet and start a Project Life kit subscription. Studio Calico has a promotion that you would get the Blue Note kit for free, if you started a subscription by January 26th. So, I signed up for a subscription with the Copper Mountain kit as my first kit. I am very excited to get these 2 kits in the mail soon! The kits are a little expensive but I think they are going to be an exciting thing to look forward to each month!

Cuttin’ and Stampin’ DT Call 2014

Hello 2014! A new years means high hopes for accomplishing more scrapbook layouts and cards, as well as increased organization. This year I will hopefully be updating my blog more frequently, as I do create quite often, I just rarely write about it.

Cuttin’ and Stampin’ is holding a Design Team Call, and I would love the opportunity to be on their design team. Here is a little bit about me. My name is Ashley Proulx and I am 18 years old. I have been crafting since I was 16 and I have loved every minute of it. I started out by making cards, and I continue to do so. I then found Project Life by Becky Higgens and fell in love with scrap-booking. I started my first Project Life album on my 18th birthday, and I plan to finish it on my 19th. I have consistently stayed caught up which makes the project even more fun. I have also done a handful of traditional scrapbook layouts throughout the last 2 years. I get a lot of inspiration from Shimelle and JoAnne. I have a youtube channel that I only have one video on, but I plan on making more haul videos and perhaps even a process video or two.

Here are a handful of my favorite cards that I have created. You can view almost all of the cards I have made here.

Here are a few of my favorite project life layouts that I have completed. I do Project Life monthly, so each month I just include anything and everything I want to remember and I don’t worry about how many pages I use each month. I can take higher quality images or close up images if anyone wants to see as well.

And finally, here is my favorite scrapbook layout. You can find out a little more about this layout here.

So thank you Cuttin’ and Stampin’ for giving me chance to become apart of your design team, and I hope I showcased what my style is.

Celebrate Life

After watching the latest Glitter Girl adventure, I was inspired to try and create another scrapbook layout. Besides Project Life, this layout is the 3rd one that I have every created. Shimelle Laine makes it easy to follow along with her, and her tips always get me in the mood to create. I tried out her formula and I am really happy with how this layout turned out. You can check out her YouTube Channel here, and she also uploads videos for Two Peas in a Bucket which can be found here. 🙂 This layout is about my grandfather passing away, and even though the circumstances were very sad, seeing my family again was a nice treat.  I really like that I was able to incorporate a lot of journaling into this page by using the envelope.

Starting Project Life!

My 18th birthday is this Saturday, June 8th. I am very excited for it! I get to start Project Life! I took some time this evening to make the first page of my Project Life album. I like how it turned out – I just explained what I was doing and what year it would be for, that kind of thing. I found it a lot of fun! I don’t have an album to put it into yet, but the page is all finished! Here is what is looks like. 🙂

I am going to make a page on my blog just for my Project Life, so you can check out all of my future layouts in one place, just click here!

Finished Card Storage

I thought I would make this post to show how I store my finished cards. I buy these boxes from Michaels when they go on sale for around $2.50. I have about 8 of them that I also store my die cuts, rub ons, and other embellishments. The boxes come with these divider cards that I write different subjects on, such as “happy birthday cards” and “everyday hello cards”. It works really well and I find that it makes it a lot easier to find a specific card when I need it.

I love Washi Tape!

I have been really loving the whole Washi Tape trend lately  I have seen some videos on YouTube and people have so many! I just ordered a few more so I thought I would show my Washi Tape collection. I find them so fun to add on cards and to replace patterned paper.

Starting Project Life!

Hello! I am going to be starting Project Life on June 8th and I am very excited! I have wanted to do Project Life for a long time, but I figured I would have to wait until January 1st. But, my boyfriend suggested that I do project life for the year that I am 18! I thought that was such a good idea. So, I am starting project life on my 18th birthday, June 8th 2013, and it will go until my 19th birthday, June 8th 2014. I ordered some Project Life items such as Becky Higgens page protectors  as well as some 3×4 and 4×6 journaling cards by We R Memory Keeping. I think that once I start Project Life, I will add a page onto my blog for pictures or posts about how it is going, just like I have done with my Card Gallery. I can’t wait to start!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #150 & SSS Challenge Card

I love how this card turned out. I am going to enter this card into 2 challenges! The first one is the Sunday Sketch & Stamp blog, and the second is the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog. This will be my first entry into the Sketch & Stamp blog for this week, and my third entry for Simon Says Stamp. 🙂 A sketch was provided with Sketch & Stamp, but the only requirement for SSS was a birthday card. I love how this card turned out! I find the colors are so pretty together! I love mixing supplies from different manufactures.

Can’t Get Enough Of Simon Says Stamp Challenge

I am becoming obsessed with card challenges. I love it! The Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is to make a birthday card, and you can enter up to 5 cards. I have already entered one, and I just made another one for the challenge! Check out their blog here!  Here is the card I just made! If I make any more birthday cards for this challenge, I will add them into this post as well!

Here is my third card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog for this week. I am also entering this card into the Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge for this week. You can check out their website here! I love the way this card turned out. I think the colors are so pretty together. I was able to mix a Basic Grey chipboard sticker with an Amy Tangerine die cut and a Smash pocket. 🙂
